Description: Knowing that there is a lot of Bleach fans that come to the site, I wanted to fill another request that was made almost a week ago. Today I will start the tutorial day with a lesson that will teach all you aspiring artists “<strong>how to draw Zangetsu</strong>", step by step. This is the sword that belongs to Ichigo, and it is a very nice one too. Anyway, since I'm not too familiar with the background of his weapon, I had to do a little research on it. If you happen to be a much bigger fan of Bleach and you know more 411 on Ichigo's sword, than by all means let me know. From what I learned the real name of his sword is not Zangetsu, its Zanpakutou. He wears this sword on his back and to be honest, Ichigo has it concealed pretty good. The handle is wrapped with some sort of bandage like cloth that was provided by Zangetsu. The spirit of Zangetsu is Ichigo's alternate self that looks to be like a scruffy thirty to forty year old man. He is what you call a manifested spirit of Ichigo. Zanpakutou is a regular katana sword but it is abnormally massive in size. The reason why Ichigo's sword is so big, is because Ichigo has a hard time controlling his reiatsu, and in return his sword winds up being just as big as Ichigo. I have always been a big fan of all the weaponry that is used in the Bleach series and manga, this lesson will show you "<em>how to draw Zanpakutou</em>", step by step. You can call the katana what you will, but for me, it was fun drawing it nonetheless. Peace out people, and make sure you stay tuned in to see what else I will have in store for you all.
Description: You will now start drawing out the actual shape of the sword by welding it into it's awesome large form. Draw a line down the middle of the blade but make sure the mid line is drawn more to the left. This is going to be the actual cutting part of the sword.
Description: Once the sword is drawn out in it's form, you will then begin sketching out the lagging piece of cloth that hangs from the handle of Ichigo's katana. Add some detailing to this cloth piece to convey looseness, and texture.
Description: For you last drawing step all you have to do now is actually sketch out the handle to the sword. This is a very simple process as you can see, and once the shape is drawn out you can then add some cris cross lining to show texture of cloth that is wrapped. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
Description: Once you are done your Zangetsu or Zanpakutou should look like the one you see here. You can then color it in. I hope you had fun, but most importantly, I hope you learned something new today with this tutorial. Be sure to join me again for another fun filled online drawing lesson.
