How to Draw Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

1

We will start by making the outline for Mozart's face guide. Sketch in the shoulder line as well as the facial guidelines.

2

Using the shape you made in step one, you can begin sketching out the structure of his face. Included with the lining you will need to draw the hairline for his combed back style. Draw the ear lobe, then proceed to step three.

3

Next, draw the eyebrows like so, then draw the slender shape of his nose. Don't forget the nostril flare.

4

Draw the eyes, then draw the mouth and lips. Add a side burn which is not part of his hair because as you know back then, they wore white wigs. Detail inside the ear as well.

5

Draw the eyes, color in the pupils, then sketch in the bag like line under his eyes, crease lines on the side of his nose, and detail below the bottom lip.

6

Draw the typical hair style that men where accustom to wearing back in the 1700's. Make sure the sides curl up at least twice, then add detailing to his wig.

7

You are almost done. Draw the shape of the neck, side view of the shoulder or torso, then draw in the ruffled tie.

8

Add the last chunk of hair, then sketch in the detailing to the collar of the shirt, his shoulder, and draw the bow tie at the end of his hair. Erase the mistakes.

9

Here is Mozart when you are done with your drawing. Now you can keep the finished art was a sketch, or you can choose to color him in.

Description: This lesson is not only going to be different, it will be on one of the most influential musical prodigies that ever lived. Obviously you know who I'm going to talk about because of the picture and title of this tut. Here is "how to draw Mozart", step by step. I wanted to really create a simple lesson on Mozart because I know that millions of people out there enjoy his music, admire him as a composer, writer, and musician. His music will live on far beyond my days as it has before I was born. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on January 27, 1756 in Salzburg. Mozart had six siblings, but five of them died when they where just small infants. He did however have a surviving sister named Maria Anna, she was born in 1751, but later died in 1829 when she was nearly eighty years old. His father Leopold was a composer and teacher and in 1743 he became the fourth violinist of Count Leopold Anton von Firmian. His father later on down the line wrote a successful textbook called Versuch einer grundlichen Violinschule. It is basically a book on how to play the violin. Anyways, Mozart was not his father's first pupil. Instead his sister was the one to start getting lessons from their father. Instrument of choice for her was the keyboard. Some years later Mozart began his lessons but for him it was the piano. When Mozart was four years old it was evident that he was an absolute prodigy. He played the piano with such tenderness and care without a hint of mistake or fault. By the time Mozart was five years old he was already writing his own composing pieces. What's amazing is the fact that even though he was being taught by his father, Mozart's knowledge of how to play the piano was well over what his father could teach him because he simply didn't know what Mozart was teaching himself. Mozart is described as being a very small man that had pale skin and loved wearing extravagant clothes. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart died on December 5, 1791 at the young age of thirty five. Even though he is dead, he still lives on in his music. I hope you enjoy drawing Mozart, as I did creating it.
