Description: I have been wanting to make a lesson on "<strong>how to draw curly</strong>" hair for a while now. This lesson is going to be simple and effective, and will also allow folks to draw curly hair for themselves on your female occ's. Since I am either making blonde, black, brown, pink, or purple colored hair styles on various figures, I thought it would be a nice change to make this lesson on curly hair a red headed model. I think red curly hair on females is so pretty. When the red hair is in the sun or daylight you can see the bright highlights through the curly locks. This drawing style is very similar to the beautiful face I drew a few weeks back. I love this drawing style for regular female characters. Hopefully you guys will enjoy drawing curly hair. I will be back with more lessons so be sure to stay tuned in.
Description: Using the guide you just made, sketch in the structure of the model's face. It should be angled and nicely portioned. Draw in the curls that falls on the face like so, then move to step three.
Description: Now let's draw in the curly hair. Start by drawing the top part of the head which is also the hair. The lining should be straight but have a slight wave. Curly hair is usually full bodied. On the left side you will begin drawing layers of hair in curly swoops. There should be a total of three layers.
Description: The curly hair is drawn, now you can finish off this lesson by drawing the long slender neck and some of the shoulders. There is also another curl bump on the back of her neck. Erase your mistakes and you are done.
