1

For the middle section of the TIE Fighter you will draw a circle like so. This is also the hull or cockpit of the spacecraft.

2

We will now draw an eyeball like shape for the design make-up of the TIE Fighter. There should be spidering lines coming from the center of the craft.

3

Here you will draw the wing attachment pylon's or the arms that the wings will be drawn on to. Add detailing to these parts like so, then proceed to step four.

4

We will draw the first octagon like shape for the TIE Fighter's wing. This is like a disk plate that is very unique in appearance.

5

Move along to draw in the other wing. As you can see also, the wing is on a different angle then the left one.

6

Lastly, draw in the sections to the wing to add it's detailing and design. Erase your mistakes if you made any and that's all there is to it.

7

Here is the line art when finished. Now you can color in the drawing and show other Star Wars fans that you are friends with what you have just created all by yourself.

Description: Here is another machine or ship that we all recognize from the Star Wars films. Today, I will do my take on how to draw a TIE Fighter, step by step in an easy to follow lesson. Now, MichaelY already did a cool TIE Fighter in the past, but I really wanted artists of all ages to be able to tackle a tutorial on one of the coolest fighter pods in the Star Wars films. These machines where mainly seem in swarms during the Galactic Civil Wars and they are part of the Imperial Army. Drawing a TIE Fighter is going to be both fun and easy, and if you have been waiting for a simple version of this space craft, here it is. I still have some other cool tuts going up, including one more Star Wars related lesson. Stick around because today is all about excitement.
