Description: Well, here is the last of the animal lessons that I will submit for a while. I just wanted to do a tutorial on "<strong>how to draw a running horse</strong>", step by step" because I don't have any lessons that show a horse galloping, eating, or even running. I love the way that this sketch came out. If the tail, and mane was a little longer, the drawing would look a little like Spirit. The running horse has a lot of energy, spirit, and grace. I had fun drawing it out, but to tell you the truth, it was a bit challenging. The position of the horses front legs was a little hard to sketch out. But all in all when ever you draw a horse, your bound to come across obstacles along the way because these animals are so beautifully detailed and defined. They are one of the more muscular animals in existence, and they also have a lot of different personalities. One of my favorite horses besides the Appaloosa is the stallion. Stallions are so incredibility beautiful in every sense of the word. My favorite is the black stallion and maybe one day I will draw one. For the mean time, tackle this tutorial that shows you “<em>how to draw a running horse, step by step</em>”. The horse looks a little like a mustang, and because of that I tried sketching a horse face that looks rebellious, and honorable. I will be back later with some really cool and fun drawing lessons on the way. Peace out, and happy drawing!
Description: To start drawing a horse, you will need to sketch out some basic lines, and shapes. Start with a circle for the head and then add the shape for the muzzle. You will then draw the outlined of the horses thick, bold neck and incorporate the lining to form the back, butt end, and thighs. Draw two more circle shapes for the chest, and hind quarters, and then draw the guidelines shapes for the front upper legs.
Description: This is when the drawing starts getting fun. I want you to start sketching out the shape of the horses face, and head as you see and then sketch out the pretty flowing horse mane. When that is done add some detailing and definition, and then draw out the ear.
Description: Add the shape of an eyes, and then color in a pupil. You will then sketch in some detailing for the horse face, and then sketch in the definition lines for the chest, shoulders, and then sketch out the front legs and hooves.
Description: Finish sketching out the shape of the front legs and hooves, and then define the horse legs too. You will thicken the back lining, and then start sketching out the long tail that is blowing in the wind from the horse running.
Description: For your last drawing step you will finish sketching out the hind legs, and then add some finishing touches like definition on the body, and on the back legs. Erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one to prepare your running horse for color.
Description: You have just finished this tutorial on "how to draw a running horse, step by step". Color in the mustang, and then your done. Great job guys, and be sure to join me once for another drawing tutorial.
