Description: Well I have made a very special and epic five tutorial lessons that I think most of you will enjoy. All five tutorials were requested by members and many of them were requested multiple times. So I present to you all, this very exciting first lesson on how to draw Shadow the Hedgehog from Sonic the Hedgehog step by step. I know for a fact that Shadow is going to be an absolute hit with most of you artist out there that love learning new things. Shadow is considered to be the second most popular character from the Sonic series. He made his first gaming debut in Sonic Adventure 2. As explained in the game, Shadow the Hedgehog was created by Professor Gerald Robotnik as he was the head of a project to work on how to obtain immortality. Shadow is Sonic’s rival through the gaming series and he looks very similar to Sonic as well. They have virtually almost the same spiked hair, body style and size; and he even wears the same hover skates that propel him at extreme speed. When Professor Gerald Robotnik created Shadow he was known as “The Ultimate Life Form". When drawing Shadow I wanted him to look wicked awesome and visually stimulating. The drawing of Shadow took me like thirty minutes, but the coloring, shading, and special effects took me two hours. I also wanted to emphasis on his speed and stamina so what I did was, add some flames on the bottom of his feet as you can see in the tutorial image. Learning how to draw Shadow the Hedgehog character step by step is something that seems like it would take a very long time to do. But the way I laid out the tutorial steps, will help you draw Shadow in in no time at all. If you think this lesson is cool, wait till you see what is coming up next. I hope you all find this lesson helpful and fun, I will be back in a while with more exciting new drawing lessons in a bit so keep your eyes open and pencils ready.
Description: Okay lets start this first simple step by drawing out a few circle shapes and guidelines to make a frame for Shadow the Hedgehog. The first thing you need to do is draw a circle for his head and then add the facial guidelines. Once that is done you will draw a small egg like shape for his torso and then some limb guidelines for his legs, arms and shoulders. Once you have completed that task you will draw out the shapes of his hands and feet as shown to you here.
Description: Now in this second step on learning how to draw Shadow the Hedgehog, you will start adding the lining for his face and body parts. First draw a half finished triangle shape for his ear on the right hand side, and then draw two arch like shapes for the outline of his eyes. Next add a small nose and then the shape of the bottom part of his face. Now that that is done you will start drawing out the right arm and the beginning lines for his legs and the tops of his shoes. You will also draw the lining for his fist as you see here.
Description: Well gang you are now on step three which means you are half way done with this lesson. What you will do first is draw out the long shape and style of his chunky spikes and then detail the inside of his ear. Next draw the fuzzy shape on his chest and finish off the shape of his body limb lines. Once you have done that you will start drawing the definition of his shoes.
Description: Wow! As you can see your Shadow the Hedgehog is coming along nicely. What you will be doing in this step is detailing pieces of his hair like strands and then giving him a frown line for his mouth. Add some more shape and detailing to his body and shoes as you see here and then move to the next step.
Description: Well this is your last drawing step and what you will do now is add a "V" like line to his forehead and then detail the inside of his left ear. You will give him an eyeball and then detail his face with some definition lines. Add some detail to the tops of his shoes and then erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew ins step one.
