Description: Well I hope that you all are enjoying my first lesson on how to draw Fry from Futurama step by step, he was really fun to draw. For my second tutorial I will take things to another level by showing you how to draw Kikyo from InuYasha step by step. Now, for you InuYasha fans out there you already know the 411 on this anime/manga character, but for those of you that are not familiar with her I will talk about Kikyo for a while just to let you know who you are about to draw. Kikyo is a very talented and powerful priestess that has always just wanted to live a regular life as a growing woman. Although Kikyo has so much talent, she always managed to have a kindness that was recognized by everyone that came into contact with her. Kikyo made her first anime/manga debut in the InuYasha episode “The Girl Who Overcame Time and the Boy Who Was Just Overcome". In the beginning of the series Kikyo was a good guy and believe it or not InuYasha and Kikyo started developing a relationship and began falling in love. Now, the two would have been just fine if it wasn’t for the trick of betrayal from Naraku who mislead Kikyo to believe that InuYasha wanted to steal the sacred jewel which Kikyo was meant to protect. After her death she was reincarnated and filled with hate for InuYasha. Kikyo went from being a kind soul, to a vengeful dark individual that wants nothing more than the destruction of the very person she once loved. The whole story of Kikyo and InuYasha is pretty intense and you really have to watch the series to understand it. But for now, let’s learn how to draw Kikyo from InuYasha step by step. As always the instructions are easy to read and the steps are simple to follow. I will be back with more drawing fun so stay tuned gang I shall return. Peace out!
Description: Well let's get right to it and start off this first step with some basic guidelines and shapes to form a workable frame for Kikyo. Start with a small circle for her head and then add the facial guidelines. Once that is done draw a skinny oblong box for her neck and then draw out the entire frame for her torso and shape for her outfit. All you have to do now is add the limb guidelines.
Description: Now in this next step you will start sketching out the details on her face such as her eyes, nose, and mouth. Once that is complete you will start sketching out the shape of her arms which are covered by her attire. Detail the bottom portion of her dress like covering and round off the ends. You will then draw a "V" line for her collar.
Description: Wow, already on step three which means there is only three more to go. As you can see you will start this step by sketching out the shape and style of her hair and as you can see it is quite long. After that is done you will start adding the line definition to her suit starting with the torso. Draw out the fingers on her clinched hand and then add more detailing creases to the bottom of Kikyo's suit. Add the shape of a foot and move down to the next step.
Description: Okay are you ready to have some fun? Start this fourth step by sketching out the definition to her hair starting with Kikyo's bangs. Next sketch out her eyes in more detail by adding eyeballs and then color them in. You will then sketch out her bow. This bow is what shoots out her sacred arrows. Add some more detailing to her clothes and then move to the last drawing step.
Description: Well you have finally made it to your last drawing step and so far you have done a great job! All you have to do here is sketch in more detail to the collar of her top and then draw out a bow around her waist. Detail her foot and then start erasing all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
Description: Once your sketch is cleaned up, you should end up with a drawing that looks like the one you see here. All you have to do now is color her in. And with that said you have just finished learning how to draw Kikyo from InuYasha step by step.
