If you are planing on sketching Christina out on paper these are the tools you will be needing. I have pointed out the three types of pencils, and of course a good quality eraser.

Now let's begin shall we? Start by sketching or drawing a circle for her head, and then add in the facial guidelines.

3

You will now start sketching out the actual shape of her face and as you can see Christina's face structure is square. Once the face shape is sketched in you can begin sketching out her hairstyle which is parted to the one side. Be sure to make feath

Before you start adding in the facial detailing, you will need to sketch out the rest of the hair outline. As you can see there are layers to be sketched, or drawn in. She doesn't have long hair in this image, her hair is a bit past her shoulders. On

Continue to sketch out her eyes until you have a nice foundation. The lashes should be sketched in as well, and then the thin set of eyebrows. Once that is done you can then add the nostril holes and finish sketching out the mouth and then her neck a

Now for the last and final step all you have to do is add some shading detailing in her hair like you see. There should be strands, layers, and a lot of body going on. Now sketch in the shading around the eyes, along the bridge of her nose, and then

Here is what the finished sketch looks like when you are all done. Now you can choose to color her in, or leave Christina as a sketched drawing. I hope you enjoyed this lesson, be sure to join me again.

Description: I am so excited to be submitting my first lesson of the day. There has been this one song that comes on the radio every once in a while called "Jar of Hearts". I instantly fell in love with the song and every time I hear it I always go into a stumper because to me it's so beautiful. This tutorial is going to show you "how to draw Christina Perri", step by step. She is the kid sister of Nick Perri who was the lead guitarist of the band Shinedown, Perry Farrell, and Silvertide. Nowadays Nick is on his own island with his Silvertide buddy Walt Lafty as they move forward with a new project called SINAI. Anyways, Christina Perri definitely can hold her own as she performs as a solo act. Her style sort of reminds me of Madonna mixed with a rough grunge look. Even though this is the only hit single from her so far, I can almost guarantee that she is definitely going to be climbing the ladder into a much more powerful figure. Like her brother, Christina grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She taught herself how to play guitar when she was sixteen just by watching reruns of the late Shannon Hoon, which was the lead vocalist/guitarist from early nineties rock band Blind Melon. Christina Perri made her musical debut as she performed "Jar of Hearts" on the CBS morning show "The Early Show". Before than her song was becoming more and more popular as fans of Jar of Hearts where buying digital copies of the song online. Before she knew it Jar of Hearts is now on VH1's top 20 countdown. I had so much fun sketching her out and making the drawing in Photoshop. If you are a fan of the song but don't know who the artist is yet, believe me you will be hearing more from Perri in days, and months to come. Have fun with this lesson on "how to draw Christina" Perri, I know you will love the finished results. Peace out everyone and have an amazing drawing day.
