1

Begin with a circle for the head guide, then draw out the odd shape for the body. You will then sketch in the facial guidelines.

2

Using the guide you just made, draw out the shape of the head which should include the ears, and fluff on the cheeks.

3

Draw out the chest, and front legs like so. When that is done you need to draw out the position of the feet.

4

Using the facial guides, draw and color in the beady eyes, draw out the shape of the snout, then draw in the top lips, tooth, and whiskers. Sketch in the detailing to one of the ears.

5

We will continue to work on the body. Draw out the belly, back legs and long feet. Add the toe lines to the back feet too.

6

Finish off your otter by drawing the lining for the animal's back. The very same lining should also form the tail. Erase the mistakes and guides.

7

Here is what the otter comes out looking like when you are all done. Now color in your drawing for complete completion.

Description: Well, here is a request that was asked by e-mail. I already made a tutorial based on an otter drawn in a 'for kids' fashion. But unfortunately they wanted a lesson on "how to draw an otter swimming". So here it is, the very simple task to drawing an otter as it swims at the bottom of the water. The style of the otter is a bit different, but I still think that it captures everything the otter is, or supposed to be. These animals eat just about everything so if you have otters where you live, be sure to keep them away from ponds that are filled with farm raised fish. I have to go for now but I will be back later. Adios people and like always, have fun.
