How to Draw an Ostrich

To start this tutorial on your cartoon ostrich you will need to first draw a circle for the head and then add the facial guidelines. Next draw a neck line and then draw the shape of the ostrich's body. You will then draw the leg guidelines.

As you can see you will now draw out the shape of the cartoon ostrich face which includes the big round eyes, and dipped triangular beak and or nose. Draw the top of the head and make sure you add some fuzz. Draw the chubby cheeks then move to the ne

You will now draw out the shape of the ostrich's neck thickness and then draw out the body shape as you see it drawn here.

Now you can sketch out some of the feather lining for the cartoon ostrich's body and then begin the leg lining as well.

Once your cartoon ostrich has it's round shaped body you can then end this tutorial by drawing out the shape of the ostrich legs and feet. erase all the guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.

Description: The next cartoon animal that I will be giving you a lesson on is very popular because of the oddness of it’s kind. I will give you a hint, this animal is part of the bird family and they have long necks, big eyes, long legs, and triangular mouths and or beaks. If you guessed ostrich you are totally right. I am going to show you “how to draw an ostrich" step by step. This tutorial also came out great and I was going for the dumbfounded look when I sketched out the face. The ostrich is a flightless bird that lays humongous eggs. Their bodies consist of an egg shaped form with lots and lots of feathers throughout. I had fun drawing out this cartoon animal because he came out looking like a typical ostrich that we all mentally visualize in our heads.
