How to Draw an Angel Cross

1

You will begin the first step by drawing two shapes and guidelines. The lines are for the arms and the shapes are for the head and torso.

2

Sketch out the shape of her facial structure first, and then begin drawing her long lustrous hair or locks.

3

In this step you will be sketching out her facial features starting with her eyes, nose and mouth. I had so much fun drawing her face and hair. It was probably the highlight of the whole lesson for me. Add some detailing to her hair which is nothing

4

As you continue to draw her upper body, you will also continue to draw more of her hair. This angel has hair that never ends. This is mainly because I am using her hair to cover her upper body. Add detailing to her locks and then draw in the shapes o

5

Well, here all you have to do is draw in her expanded arms which is stretched out across the sheet of paper or what ever your canvas may be. Sketch in her hands, and then move to step six.

6

Next, sketch out the hips and legs, as well as her feet. You will also draw the banner that is wrapped around her hips and falls down her body. Notice how the banner falls past her feet.

7

Your angels body is basically done. You will now tackle the task of drawing the first wing to the right. Start with the wing arm or bone, and then sketch in the feathers like so. You will also sketch in the detailing of small feathers.

8

Here you will draw the second and third layers of feathers to complete the wing. Notice how the wing curls inward in a cupping motion.

9

You will repeat the same thing as you did in step eight. Try and make the feathers look precise and and uniform. Also, add feather detailing and you're done with this step.

10

Well you will finish this step as well as this angel by drawing the other two layers of feathers. Take your time so the wings come out beautiful.

11

For your last step all you have to do is draw in the detailing for the banner or cloth that covers the lower half of her body. Sketch in some toes and then clean up the drawing.

12

Here is what the angel looks like when you are all done. Choose a color pallet and begin shading in your angel to your liking.

Description: I always have fun trying out new drawing and coloring styles, and because of this you guys will benefit from my hard work because I will show you some really cool tutorials that will definitely have people talking. With this lesson I will show you "how to draw an angel cross", step by step. This is a tattoo design that I have always wanted to tackle but I never got around to it because of all the work that I have been doing lately. The angel idea was actually conjured up by someone that wanted a tattoo of a cross, but he also wanted the cross to resemble an angel. After struggling with the concept I finally came up with something that was not only very cool, but very beautiful as well. This is a great tattoo design of an angel that is posing in a cross like style. Her arms and legs are almost the same position as a crucifix, and her face is void because of the fact that she is in this pose. I love how the wings and body sketch came out and I look forward to drawing like this real soon. The only problem I'm running into is concept ideas. I want to better my skills with drawing hands and feet in a comic book form instead of always drawing my figures in an anime form or style. The only way to get better is to actively practice everyday, so that is what I'll do. With each design or creation I will submit them as tutorials so you guys can learn with me. For now have fun drawing an angel cross, and remember to comment and rate to let me know what you think of the new drawing style. Peace out and enjoy!
