Description: Hey guys, hows it going on this pretty cool Sunday evening? Well, for me it was an awesome day, and it’s going to be even better when I start drawing live for you all. Today, I thought I would submit a lesson that I drew a couple of days ago on two characters from a new movie that is due to come out later on this year. The tutorial is called “how to draw Alpha and Omega", step by step. Now because this is a new movie, there really isn’t too much info on the main characters from the story. The plot or storyline is based on two wolves, a male and a female. The female wolf is named Kate, and she is voiced by Hayden Penettiere. Kate is a very strong willed wolf that has a mind of her own, and doesn’t let anyone talk in her ear. Humphrey is the male wolf which is voiced by the very funny Justin Long, and in the movie Humphrey is what you call a rebel, or a canine that lives for the moment and doesn’t think of future events. According to sources, the movie follows the two very different wolves on a journey that starts when they are captured by park rangers, and dropped off in an environment that is a no animals land because all through the forest, there is hunters that are just waiting for that perfect kill. They have to learn to get along and like each other if they want to make it out alive and go back to the place they came from. To me, it sounds a little like Balto mixed with Homeward Bound. Anyway, this should be a rather fun lesson to follow because you are actually learning "how to draw Kate and Humphrey", and they are two cool wolves. I mean, who doesn’t like drawing a wolf once in a while right? Well, that does it for now, I will be back soon with more drawing fun. Peace out peeps, and be sure to enjoy yourself with this tutorial. Bye!
Description: You will now begin sketching in the snouts like so, and then draw out Alpha's piercing eyes, and thicken her catty looking lashes. Once that is complete, you can proceed onto drawing out Omega's nose tip, eyes, and some of the fury frame that surrounds his face.
Description: Begin sketching out the shapes of their bodies like you see here. Of course make sure that Kate has a more slick-ish style then Humphrey because she is more pristine then he is. After all, she is a female. Anyway, sketch out her nose, and nostrils, and then her ears. Do the same for Humphrey, but make sure you also draw his body a bit thicker, and bolder. Add the strand lines in their coats, and then move to the next drawing step.
Description: You will now start focusing on sketching out their bodies like so. For Kate, you will have to sketch out her chest, and long front limbs, and some of her curling, cupping tail. For Humphrey, you will draw most of his body out starting with his chest, front legs, torso, and then his hind legs and paws. Add some pretty detailing or definition to her wolfy mane.
Description: It is now time to finish off these two characters, and to do so, all you have to do is finish sketching out Kate's body which consists of her front legs and paws, and her one hind leg that is tucked away behind her thick tail. Add some fur detailing and texture definition, and then you can erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one.
Description: Here is how your two characters come out looking like when you are done. All you need to do now is color them in. I hope you had fun drawing these two new characters from the upcoming movie, Alpha and Omega.
