Description: Ok guys, I've got a special lesson for all you horse lovers out there, and to be quite frank, this is definitely one of my favorite horse tutorials. I've painted this beauty in a similar style to those posters you see at Walmart or a specialty store. I'm a huge fan of those poster artworks and decided I should tackle a fantasy type enviroment with swirled with pinks and purples to accent this white horse we're about to draw. In this step by step, we will learn “<strong>how to draw a white stallion</strong>"”, step by step. I've included a few tip steps to aid you the process of drawing horse hooves as well. The tip steps should give you a better foundation to create accurate and simple hooves. Make sure to ready yourself with the drawing utensils needed for this. I hope you'll enjoy, and stay tuned for more possible tuts on fantasy stuff just like this. Peace out and let me know how you did or if the tips were helpful!
Description: Now that you have the shapes and guides drawn out, we can start working on the body starting with the head. Start by sketching out the forehead and muzzle of the horse. Next, draw the bottom lip and mouth line as well as the rounded jaw shape. End this step by drawing the ears, and proceed to step three.
Description: This is one of my favorite step because this is where you will be drawing the beautiful flowing mane. Start with the bangs, and be sure to curl them off to the side of the face. Once that is done, continue to sketch out the mane going down the back of the neck in a nice full textured pattern. The hair should be in chunks like so, and you should also sketch in some strand detailing for texture. Draw the eye and color in the eyeball. Sketch the nostril arch, as well as the muscle definition on the snout, and neck.
Description: Now that the head and face is drawn, you can continue your feat by drawing the front part of the neck, followed by the chest, shoulder, and front leg. The hoof should also be sketched in neatly as well. The scuffs on the side of the shoulder should also be drawn in.
Description: Here is a quick step that shows you how to draw a horse hoof. Start with a diamond shape for the guide, and then draw a short line guide. Draw the sides of the lower leg or ankle, and then draw in the actual hoof shape.
Description: Here is some different examples on a horse hoof. The first one to the left is an example of a side view, the second is a side view from the side as the horse is standing on it, and then the other two are examples from the back view.
Description: As you can see you are almost done with this white stallion. Draw the chest and stomach, as well as the gentiles and other back leg. You will then sketch in all the body and muscle detailing like so, then proceed to step ten.
