Description: It is Sunday and that means most of you have school tomorrow. I want to add some more lessons that will be educational and fun for all you artist out there that want to improve your drawing skills. I will start this day with an awesome tutorial on how to draw a stormtrooper step by step. Now I know for a fact almost every person that visits DragoArt.com has seen the movie Star Wars. I love this movie, and pretty soon I will start buying blu-ray DVDs to start a collection of the Star Wars saga. Stormtroopers where an elite force of soldiers that were under the command of the Galactic Empire and they often took direct orders from Darth Vader himself. Do not be mistaken, these soldiers were skilled fighters and they served on the Death Star and even independently fought alongside the Army and Navy units. The Rebel Alliance often called these fighters, whitehats, snowmen and even plastic soldiers. Now if you remember the newer versions of Star Wars you will see that stormtroopers started off as clone troopers who served with the Clone Wars. Drawing out this character from start to finish was intimidating because it was created by the hands of George Lucas himself. All the characters (including aliens, and humans) were designed by Lucas in a very intricate manner. I remember watching an interview on Lucas and they asked him “how difficult was it to create and develop all the characters in your film”? He showed the viewers sketches that he did of some of the characters including the Light Saber, Boba Fett, and Jabba the Hut. Every sketch was drawn out incredibly real and neatly done. Just by looking at his creation I knew that he put his heart and soul into his work. Nonetheless, I had a fun experience sketching out this Star Wars character and maybe someday soon I will do a few tutorials on how to draw Jabba the Hutt and Boba Fett the bounty hunter. I’ll tell you what I would like to do, a lesson on is how to draw the millennium falcon. Now that would take me a good week or so to sketch out, draw and color. I think I will make that a project of mine. Anyways, I hope you like this tutorial on how to draw a stormtrooper step by step. All the instructions are simple to read and the steps are easy to follow. I will be back, so stay tuned for more upcoming teachings. Peace out.
Description: Okay there are a total of six steps before you will be done with this lesson and I encourage you all to take your time as you follow the steps. The first thing you will do is draw out the guidelines and shapes to make a frame for the stormtrooper starting with a circle for the head and another for the torso. You will then add facial guidelines and then the body's lines of position.
Description: In this next step you will start sketching out the face structure of the mask and make sure you draw out the eye shapes. Add the lining for the arms and then the outlines for the legs. Once that is complete you will move to the next step to see what you will need to do next.
Description: As you can see your stormtrooper is coming along nicely. What you will do next is start adding the helmets detailing definition lines as shown to you here. Next draw out the rest of the shape of the arm and hand and then start working on the gun. You will add the rest of the shaping lines for the legs and knees as well.
Description: I know that I placed this lesson under advanced and that is because it can get complex. You will start sketching out the detailing lines for the body armor as you see here and then finish sketching out the gun that he is holding with both hands. Draw out the crotch area and then detail the legs and knees.
Description: This is your last drawing step and all you have to do is start adding the shading or coloring that you see here. The best way to complete this step is to follow the colored areas as seen and then add the final detailing definition lines on the stomach, chest and face. Erase any visible guidelines and shapes that you drew in step one.
Description: Once you are done you should end up with a drawing that looks like the one you see here. All you have to do now is add some color if you like. I hope you kiddies had a fun time learning how to draw a stormtrooper step by step. It was fun for me and I am guessing it was fun for you as well.
