Start by drawing a square like so, then draw out the ruffled lined edges. This is how a stamp appears when it is attached to a book or resting on an envelope.

2

Make another square inside the larger one. This is where you will draw your stamp design.

I just wanted to keep things simple, so I drew a United States flag as a design for my stamp. Erase the mistakes then you're done.

This is how the stamp looks when finished. Color in your work and show it off.

Description: So you say that you need to mail something but you have no stamp. Well you're in luck because I have just the lesson for you. Here is "how to draw a stamp", step by step. Now of course you can't literally use the stamp that you draw to send a letter to someone, but you can use the drawing to post a letter you drew. Drawing stamps is very simple because all you have to do is make a square inside of another square with notched edges, and color in a design of your choice. I can remember when it only cost ten cents to mail a letter and when books of stamps was only three fifty. Nowadays you have to scrounge up nearly ten dollars just for a book of stamps. I mean who can do that? That is a lot of money to be paying just to mail a piece of paper. But I guess you gotta do what you gotta do especially if you have family that lives far away, or if you have a pen-pal that you write to often. Let's not forget about you ladies out there that write to your loved ones that are behind bars, you know inmates need love through the mail too. Anyways, have fun folks and leave some feedback. Adios people and good luck.
