How to Draw a Sniper Rifle

1

For the first step you will begin sketching out the forestock of the rifle which is the wooden or faux material of the gun. This is where everything is assembled in.

2

Next, draw in the barrel and chamber of the rifle. This is the the long metal rod like shape of the gun.

3

The end piece of the barrel is called the muzzle. As you can see there are air breaks at the end of the muzzle which helps with blow back when shooting.

4

All you have to do here is draw in the bolt and trigger of the gun or rifle.

5

This sniper rifle has a bi-pod assembly so that is what you will be drawing next. Take your time so it comes out accurate.

6

You are already almost done with this tut. As you can see you will need to draw in the stock, then the end cap is called a butt. The butt is what presses up against your shoulder when shooting without the bi-pod.

7

For the scope there is what you call a mounting bracket known as the picatinny rail. That is what you will draw in next right above the bold/chamber.

8

Now you can draw in your scope which should rest nicely in the rails. When that is done move to step nine.

9

Up next and lastly, draw in the detailing for the scope which are the elevation adjustment knob, windage knob, and the lens adjustment detailing. When your scope is done all you have to do is erase the mistakes.

10

Here is what your rifle looks like when you are all done. Now you can go ahead and color in your rifle. I hope you enjoyed this tut folks.

Description: Okay, so I was looking through some of the weaponry on Dragoart and I noticed that I never did a lesson on "how to draw a sniper rifle", step by step. I know that the rifle you see in this lesson may not look like a traditional sniper rifle and I was even told by my brother that I should have done an M24 because it's a better, more reliable rifle. I didn't know what I was looking for when I was searching for a reference so I do apologize to those of you who would like to see an M24 for a tut. I do plan on doing more weapons so if you have any suggestions just let me know. Anyways, have fun with this sniper rifle I will be back in a bit so stick around.
