Start by making a simple shape in the form of an egg. This is going to be for the body of the pumpkin.

For the second step all you need to do is draw in two crescent lines that should be drawn side by side each other. When that is done you can draw in the pumpkin's stem.

For the last drawing step, all you need to do is draw in the rest of the pumpkin's shape. As you can see the only detailing you have to make is on the surface of the pumpkin's skin. Be sure that the bottom of the pumpkin is layered with folded over l

Once you clean up the drawing you should have yourself a really nice sketch of a pumpkin that you can be proud of. Color it in and even make smaller versions if you plan on decorating.

Description: I know this next lesson may seem a little ridiculous, but the fact is many kids would like to learn how to draw a pumpkin in an easier than normal way. This tutorial consists of only three drawing steps, and then one finished line art step. In just a couple of days it’s going to go from August to September, and then after that, we will all be in October. Now you know what rolls around in the month of October don’t you, yup that’s right, Halloween. This is the perfect lesson for all you folks out there both young and old that want to make a simple drawing of a pumpkin. I had fun creating this sketch because it was so easy to draw up. Now you too can have fun as you "draw a pumpkin for kids" too. I shall return in a few so stay tuned in.
