How to Draw a Mutant Creature, Mutant Concept

1

Begin by drawing the shape of the mutant's head, then draw a large body shape like you see here. Connect the two shapes with a neck guide like so.

2

You will now start sketching out the top part of the mutant's face which also includes the top part of the jaw. Draw in the nose, then add detailing where needed.

3

You will begin creating the lower part of the jaw which will also finish off the head and face. The lining should replicate a hairy coat or mane. Draw in the eye, ears, and bottom teeth as well as the facial detailing.

4

We will work on getting the body drawn out. Start by sketching out the top part of the neck, then the bottom part of the neck. Draw the front shoulder, then sketch in all the detailing and definition. Before you leave this step you will need to draw

5

Draw out the incredibly over sized front legs and claws. The nails should be exaggerated, and the front legs should be like trunks. Draw the rest of the neck and chest too.

6

Add more detailing to the body. This should include the chest, legs, and claws.

7

Continue to draw the body until your done here. Sketch in the rib detailing, then add definition to the hind quarters. Draw the back leg too. Notice how the back leg is smaller then the front.

8

Lastly, draw the rest of the stomach, then draw in the rest of the legs including the sharp pointed claws. Sketch in the rest of the detailing and definition after you erase the mistakes.

9

Here is the mutant creature now that you are done. Color it in and that's it. Show folks what an odd mutant you just learned to draw.

Description: I was supposed to upload this lesson a while ago but like always I forgot. Today I will finally submit how to draw a mutant creature, step by step. This monster initially was meant to be a mutation of a tiger. In the end it looks more like a beast of another kind then any tiger I have ever seen. The drawing took a couple hours to complete, and then maybe about two hours to color in. The detailing was fun to add because I love making things look intense, and I believe that this drawing of a mutant creature looks pretty intense. If you like drawing concept type of monsters, you should enjoy yourself with recreating this one. Of course you can tweak and add things to customize the mutant, that is a good way to get your creative juices flowing. That's all I have for you all today, I will be back tomorrow with some more drawing fun so come back around. Peace out folks!
