Description: When I first started drawing, I always struggled with profile view or side shots since it takes a whole new perspective with the character. Hopefully, my tutorial isn't too hard to follow.
Description: Alright let's start with the basic guidelines, these are pretty important. First, sketch a circle. Next, draw a straight line on the edge of the circle to represent the front of the face. This should be at a slight angle. Roughly indicate the nose and chin using 3 lines below the center of the circle. Finally, draw a line going straight down at about the third of the circle to show where the ear and neck goes.
Description: Now let's start working in the facial features. Draw the eye at the center of the head. Drop in the nose, eyebrows, and mouth. Curve and smooth out the edges of the chin and neck a bit. I prefer not to make everything perfectly pointy. Lastly, draw the basic shape of the ear using the guideline we used for the neck. Pay attention to the size of the ear and how it corresponds to the eyes and nose.
Description: Now we're going to start on the hair and clothing. The hair should be a little bit higher than the actual head. Use different pressure on the lines to add some depth to the hair. Now draw in the clothing. Remember to add some wrinkles and folds.
Description: Erase the guidelines we made before. Ink in the permanent lines with a pen to avoid erasing anything you don't want beforehand if you like. The final product should look something like this. Hope I helped!
