Description: The inspiration for this lesson actually came from my sisters playing Shakira's song over and over again called 'Gypsy'. I can't tell you how many times I have heard the song and it's not due to my interest on listening to it. This lesson will show you "<strong>how to draw a gypsy</strong>", step by step. I wanted to be traditional with the concept, but I also wanted it to be colorful, easy and pretty to look at. Instead of making a whole bodied image I went with just her head and shoulders. I used some of the characteristics of Esméralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame like her big hairstyle, pouting lashes, and big gold earrings. If you are a fan of gypsy art and have wanted or waited for a lesson on drawing a gypsy, here is your chance to start making it happen. I will be back with some sports tuts in a bit so stay tuned in people.
Description: Use the facial guidelines to draw out the thick shaped eyebrows and then draw the lining to form her nose. When that is done you can draw the upper eye lid which are also her thick lashes.
Description: Sketch out the left side of the hair which looks to be a lot shorter then the right side of her hairstyle. Add the strand detailing lines, then sketch in the shape of her neck. As you can see your gypsy's head is tilted back.
Description: Finish everything off by drawing the shoulder, and the sleeve for her blouse or top for her dress. Add the crease or crinkle line in the center of the material like so, then erase the mistakes.
