Description: I was approving artwork the other day and came across a drawing that someone did on two gazelles standing side by side. Right when I saw that sketch, I looked in the animal section to see if I had a tutorial on "how to draw a gazelle", step by step. To my surprise I didn't have a lesson on these beautiful animals. Gazelles are pretty four legged creatures that have remarkable looking faces and body markings. They are the chosen prey for lions and other Great Plains or safari animals and you often see gazelle around giraffes and zebra. I love the way that this drawing came out and I also love how the horns look. They sort of look like deer but have slender bodies and shorter snouts. Gazelles are known for their swift stamina and fast speeds. These animals can run as fast as sixty miles per hour. They can be found in areas like deserts, grasslands, and the African savannas. At first I thought this antelope species was as big as a deer, but I later learned that they are pretty small, and most of them are only around two to three feet in height. They eat leaves and other greens that are easy to digest. This keeps them swift on their feet, and light on their toes. I hope you like drawing a gazelle, be sure to let me know what you think. I will return later so stay tuned in or come back around. Peace peeps and like always, enjoy!
Description: Okay, draw in the ears which are small and narrow, and then sketch out the actual structure of the gazelle's face and snout. Draw or color in the nose tip as well as add a line for the mouth.
Description: Moving along, we will now tackle the task of sketching out the front part of the neck like so, and then draw out the two front legs which are pretty bony or skinny. Draw the two toed hooves and move to step five once you have added some definition to the neck.
Description: Draw the other leg like so, and then sketch out the small deer like tail. Erase the lines and shapes that you drew in step one, and you can then add the marking lines along the nose and body if you want.
