How to Draw a Flying Wolf, Flying Wolf

1

Make one round shape for the head, and an egg shape for the body like so. Before leaving to step two, add one face guide.

2

Here you will start sketching out the structure of the head. First, draw the forehead and proceed to sketch in the very hairy lining of the face. These pieces of hair should be overlapping each other like you see here. When the shape of the face is d

The first thing you want to do when drawing out the eyes is make the thick, sharp looking eyelids that are also very bold and dark. When that is done, you can draw the shapes of the eyes, and then draw in the eyebrows. Make the nose tip followed by t

Here you will draw in the eyeballs, and then draw the nose holes which will add the detailing to the nose. Sketch out the hair inside of the ears, as well as the rib or cartilage on the ears too.

5

Now it's time to start sketching out the body. We will begin with the chest, and you can do this by making swift strokes to create the long hair on the chest. Next, draw the front leg and paw and since this is a wolf, the paw should be big. The leg i

Simply draw out the other leg and paw, and be sure to include those toes. The wrist is relaxed since this wolf is in flight.

Before we draw any more of the wolf's body out, we have to get those wings sketched in. This should be simple too because they are pretty small, but perfect size for the size of the wolf. Sketch out the angelic style wings, and be sure to fill the in

Draw the back end of the wolf as well as the hind leg. I wanted to draw one of the back legs lifted because the whole concept to make him in a cute pose was my idea. The toes are sort of spread out so draw them in like you see it done here.

9

Draw in the other leg and paw, and then add some nails on the lifted legs foot. You will also need to draw in some of the foot padding too.

Lastly, all you have to do is draw out a simple stubby tail that looks like a feathered wing. Erase the guides and mistakes that you might have made, and that's it.

Look how cute this little guys looks when you are all done. Now you can pick and choose between shades and designs that you want to color and decorate your flying wolf in. Great work everyone!

Description: Yesterday I posted a drawing I made on Facebook and it’s of a flying wolf or at least my version of one. I do have a wolf with wings tutorial already uploaded on Dragoart, but I drew that one so long ago. I guess I was inspired to make this lesson because of the puppy like version I did of Cerberus. The coloring and concept of this flying wolf came out to be pretty awesome. The background is different form the one some of you guys seen on Facebook, and the reason why I decided to change the background design, is because I thought that the darker version would be better. How hard is drawing a flying wolf? Well, generally this type of creature would have some bumps in the road, but since I broke down the drawing into easy to follow steps, I feel confident that you guys can get through this tutorial with little or no complications. I don’t know what else to say about this drawing, I guess I’ll let you guys get busy with teaching yourself "how to draw a flying wolf". I shall return momentarily so hang on to your seats, because I am coming back!
