Description: For the second dog breed you will be getting a lesson on "how to draw a chow", step by step. The chow chow is a breed that has both positive and negative feedback. From my experience, the chow has always been a feared dog whenever someone would walk around with one, or whenever a chow was seen just stray on the street. Chow Chows are considered to be aggressive dogs with a bad reputation. Some of their distinctive qualities are their mean almost unfriendly looking faces, their bluish black colored tongues, and how their hind legs appear to be almost standing straight on their tippy toes. Chows have thick, long furry coats and tails that are curled so much; they literally rest on the ends of their backs. Unlike the corgi, the chow breed come in a variety of SOLID colored coats which includes red, black, blue, cinnamon and cream, and even some rare tones like white, tan, and gray. Remember when I said that these dogs are considered to be aggressive? Well pertains to the ones that are not properly raised. Because they have strong minds of their own, it is recommended that you be very thorough when it comes to socializing them at a very young age. They also need an owner that is very firm and dominate, as well as having dominance when training. If a chow is not raised in the proper manner from early puppyhood, there is a chance that they will never be good around children or other pets. Chow chow’s are a very dominate breed, and because they are so much work, there is not really a lot of these dogs in homes with children. If you have a chow and you will love learning "how to draw a chow" because you can make it look like your own. Have fun with this tutorial and be sure to rate, comment, and fav if you love it. Thanks and peace out!
Description: Sketch in the lining for the outline of the chow. This should be a very crimped stroke because as you know the chow is a very fluffy breed. Draw in the short ears, and add some detailing to the top part of the head.
Description: Begin sketching in the chow's face starting with the slanted looking eyes, and then draw out the snout which is also short and sort of pushed in. The bottom jaw is open and the lips or gums are long and droopy. Draw a tongue and sketch in some detailing for added texture to the dog's coat.
Description: Draw in the front legs and be sure that they are thick wide and hearty looking. Sketch in each paw which are also very large looking, and then draw in some detailing for the shoulder, and chest. This will also add texture and definition to the dog too.
Description: For the last step all you have to do is finish drawing out the body starting with the chest, stomach, and hind legs. Draw the long curled tail and be sure that it is resting on the back, and then draw in the back paws. Clean up the drawing to free it from mistakes and guides.
