Description: This is a tutorial on how to draw a chibi character. This chibi is ultra cute and very pink and swirly. I did show the basics of the chibi body with no clothes so you may clothe this chibi however you like, or use the rest of the tutorial to draw the outfit I created! I hope you'll enjoy this tutorial learning "how to draw a chibi character", step by step!
Description: Now go ahead and draw in the chibi body around the structure. You can either round the feet out or leave them with little pointed toes like I have it. The eyes should be dots and should be VERY low on the face, and fairly wide apart. Once you erase the structure lines, you can use this chibi body to clothe it however you wish!
Description: Now the rest of the tutorial is for those who wish to draw the character I created. First, to make the hair fluffy and curly, you can add a big swirl to the center of the head and start building around it. To create the whispy curly look, I just simply repeated a basic wave over the whole head and left a part in the upper right where the dot is. Have the waves go in opposite directions from the part so it looks more natural.
Description: Next you can start working on her super short dress! I drew a close up of part of her dress to show you how to make the waves in her dress. Do one wave at a time instead of all at once and just have them connected. Start with the middle and work outwards, it helps! Go ahead and draw the band around her ribs and the three circles on her chest too.
Description: Now you can draw in her stripy socks, arm bands, collar and her cute little biker shorts. This step is pretty easy, just make sure to keep the lines curved so it looks like the clothes are being worn by the chibi instead of just plastered on.
Description: Now for her wings, I drew what they would look like if they weren't hidden behind her back so things may be easier while drawing them. I prefer the cute swirly wings for this chibi since it goes with her theme! To finish it up, add her smile and the lolly pop to her hair. Great job!
