Description: Hello everyone and welcome back to another lesson. Today I will be showing you how to draw a winged cat, step by step. I have been getting into fantasy a lot and recently and because of this I felt inspired to make a lesson on a winged animal, but not just any animal. It had to be a cat because all my family members love cats and I think it's because of their majestic appearance. Anyways, this cat has a little fantasy mixed in. I added some braided strands of hair flowing down each side of the face and at the ends of the braids are beads. I absolutely love the way this cat came out and it has been so long since I've done any fantasy lessons so I do hope you enjoy this tutorial. It may be a bit complex for artists starting out, but if you stay persistent you will get it. Have fun and remember to come back around to see what other lessons will be uploaded next at 'THE HUB'.
Description: Go ahead and sketch in the face of your cat. Start with the eyes and move to the nose. When you have the eyes drawn just right be sure to add some whiskers and detailing to the nose and darken the lining for the eyes. Draw in the large pointed ears and then add some definition to the face. Don't forget to draw the long strands of hair with the beads too.
Description: We will continue to draw in more or most of the cat's body. Do this by drawing the other front leg, then back legs, back lin and all three paws. Add some nails on the back paws too. Also, I drew in some hair like a mane combed over to one side on the back of the neck.
Description: This is probably the hardest step because you will need to draw the wings of the cat. Wings have always been hard for me to draw, but if you take your time you should be able to get them done rather easily. The layers of feathers should be added to the right wing so be sure to add that before moving to the next step.
Description: You are all done. Now you can have fun coloring in your fantasy style winged cat and even draw in a nice background. Don't forget to upload your finished work because I would love to check it out.
